Not medical advice
Unmasked is a screening and self-understanding tool. It does not diagnose anything, and nothing on this site is medical advice.
What a score is
A questionnaire score summarises your answers to a fixed set of statements. Research has linked certain scores with a higher likelihood that a full assessment would find autism, ADHD or another condition, but scores are often wrong in both directions. Many people who are not autistic score high; many autistic people, especially those who mask, score low.
What a diagnosis is
A diagnosis is made by a qualified professional, such as a psychiatrist, psychologist or specialist doctor, after a full assessment of your developmental history, your current life and other possible explanations. No website or app can do that.
Please don’t
- start, stop or change any treatment or medication because of a result here;
- treat a high score as proof that you are autistic or have ADHD, or a low score as proof that you are not;
- delay getting help because of a result.
If you are struggling
